19 February 2012 - Maungaturoto Primary School Trail Ride
The 4th Annual Trail Ride will take place on Sunday 19th Feb 2012
265 Whakapirau Road, Maungaturoto, which is 3 minutes from State Highway 12 following the signs.
The Trail ride will feature open farm land, expert only and an expert only two wheeler section.
The terrain is open sheep and beef farmland, which has a few sections of bush.
The ride is a 35km main loop with three short cuts home.
The Trail Ride is over Don and Jackie McKay’s farmland.

After the success of Maungaturoto Primary School Horse Trek last year it will again feature on Saturday 18th February 2012. The Horse Trek is at 265 Whakapirau Road, Maungaturoto, follow the signs from State Highway 12. (on the Sunday is a Dirt Bike/ATV Trail Ride, for the petrol heads in the family)

Cyril Despres and TCX get their 4th podium together at the 2012 Dakar
Another success for TCX in the 37th edition of the Dakar, the most important Rally Raid in the world, ended yesterday in the fantastic scenario of the Plazade Armas in Lima, Peru.
It is here that French KTM Red Bull rider Cyril Despres ended up his successful race, after a total of 8000km, 4000 of which on special stages, riding through three amazing, big countries such as Chile, Argentina and Perù to achieve his 4th title!
